CORE DECORATION TYPES:
Embroidery – Is the process of making a digitized pattern of your logo which is then stitched
onto your garment. Costing based on number of stitches involved in the artwork, and setups
may apply for logos and stylized fonts Can work with jpg, bmp, tiff, pdf, ai, eps files.
Ideal for: most garments (excluding t-shirts) where the size fits within 120 x 120mm size; headwear, bags, towels.
Screen Printing – Process in which ink is pressed through a fine mesh screen leaving a colour imprint on the surface of the material. Also ideal for printing onto outerwear such as tracksuit jackets. Prices based on size (max. size A3) and number of colours, and initial setup costs
apply. Can work with: * Files made as a non-updated Illustrator 10 file (.eps or .ai) – fonts to be converted to paths / outlines, unless font file is also supplied*
* Word Document accepted for any text logos so long as font is available on standard
Microsoft Office.
Ideal for: T-shirts, garments requiring decoration larger than pocket size (material type may limit printing capability), stubby holders, neoprene products, tote bags.
Digital Printing – Process in which the image is printed directly onto the transfer and then
applied to the fabric’s surface with head and press. This process allows for the production of
more detailed logos, or the reproduction of photo quality finishes. Price based on quantity only, max size 400mmx500mm.
Ideal for: any garment / material requiring decoration of photo-style images or multi-colour print.
Plastisol Transfers – Multi-colour logos are applied to
products through the use of transfers.
Logos are first reverse-screened onto a paper like material. The complete logo is then applied
to the fabric's surface with heat & pressure
Ideal for: tote bags, stubby holders, foam mesh headwear, heat-resistant fabrics only.
Laser Engraving - Process where a laser is used to burn an impression into the coated surface
or basic material of an item. Available on silver or other metal products such as key tags, pens and picture frames.
Pad Print - A process whereby ink is applied directly to the surface of the product via a flexible silicone pad leaving a colour print to substrates of plastic, metal (including coated metals),
vinyl, polyurethane, leather, glass, aluminium, stainless steel and wood. This process is suited to producing small, intricate designs to both 2 and 3-dimensional products.
Helpful Tip: The clearer the image and better the quality supplied, results in a better print job.
The best artwork file for the best results will be eps vector file. Please note that for some poor artwork that there may be a surcharge to re-do the logo in a clearer format.
